The Storyopen HomeSchool 24 Family Education Mobile Home is designed for home-educating families who need a dedicated, child-appropriate, educationally optimised learning environment separated from the main family home — providing the focus, organisation, and educational infrastructure that serious home education requires without converting a bedroom or living room into a classroom that compromises both the learning environment and the domestic living space simultaneously. The HomeSchool 24 is the first mobile home in the UK market designed specifically for the home education use case, developed in consultation with experienced home educators, educational psychologists, and primary and secondary curriculum specialists.

The 24-square-metre learning environment is organised into three functional zones: a structured learning zone with four height-adjustable student desks, a height-adjustable teacher or parent desk, individual task lighting, and a 98-inch interactive display screen with built-in Android OS, 4K resolution, and 10-point multi-touch on a floor-to-ceiling height-adjustable wall mount; a library and resource zone with 3,600mm of adjustable open shelving, a reading nook with acoustic wool-lined walls and overhead natural-daylight simulation lighting, and a pinboard and whiteboard perimeter wall system; and a practical learning zone with a craft-grade worktop, a Belfast sink, and a lockable chemical storage cabinet for science practical work. The north-facing rooflight above the structured learning zone provides consistent natural daylight throughout the school day without direct sunlight glare on screens or work surfaces.

The acoustic environment is managed to educational standards: the MVHR ventilation system maintains CO2 below 800ppm at full occupancy — the concentration above which cognitive performance measurably deteriorates in learning contexts — and the acoustic treatment of the ceiling and two walls reduces background reverberation to under 0.4 seconds in the RT60 measure relevant to speech intelligibility in teaching environments. The building is fully connected with a 1Gbps mesh WiFi system, a Cat 6 data outlet at each student desk, and a dedicated network printer connection point.

Storyopen delivers the HomeSchool 24 with a full garden placement service, same-day electrical connection, interactive screen commissioning, and an educational space setup guide developed in partnership with UK home education consultants.
