The Storyopen TradeBase 24 Mobile Workshop and Sleeper is designed for tradespeople, contractors, and skilled workers who spend extended working periods at remote or distant project sites and need a combined workshop, secure tool storage, and residential sleeping space that travels with them — eliminating the cost, fatigue, and security risks associated with hotel accommodation, tool theft from transit vehicles, and the daily commute from distant lodgings to the work site. The TradeBase 24 divides its 24-square-metre floor plan between a 14-square-metre professional workshop and secure equipment store, and a 10-square-metre residential sleeping and welfare unit — providing both the working and living infrastructure that a self-sufficient tradesperson deployment requires in a single road-legal vehicle that parks at the work site.

The workshop zone is designed for genuine professional trade use: a 3,000mm × 900mm heavy-duty steel-framed workbench with 3mm Durbar plate top rated to 500kg distributed load, a wall-mount panel system with tool outline storage for 40+ hand tools, a 6-drawer rolling tool cabinet alcove, 16 double electrical sockets on a dedicated 32A circuit with RCD protection and an independent isolator accessible from outside the building, an LED strip lighting system providing 800 lux at bench height, and a 3-tonne rated anchor point in the floor for heavy lifting equipment. The equipment store has a steel-reinforced access door with a five-lever Mortice deadlock and a reinforced lock plate providing security equivalent to a standalone tool vault.

The residential zone delivers a fixed single bed with quality 100mm foam mattress, a compact kitchen with a two-burner induction hob, microwave, and 60-litre refrigerator, a shower room with WC, and a small sitting area with two chairs and a fold-out table. The 32A shore power supply serves both zones through a dual-circuit consumer unit — the workshop and residential zones are electrically independent with separate RCDs ensuring that an overload event in the workshop circuit does not interrupt the residential heating, hot water, and lighting supply. A diesel-fuelled night heater provides residential heating without electrical dependency when the shore power supply is unavailable at certain work sites.
