The Storyopen WorkerBase 30 Construction Site Mobile Home is a purpose-built residential welfare unit designed for construction site, infrastructure project, and remote industrial site deployment where workers require secure, comfortable, and compliant residential accommodation in proximity to the work site — reducing the costs, fatigue, and safety risks associated with long daily commutes to remote project locations. Designed to meet HSE welfare facilities guidance and the Site Welfare Facilities Regulations 2005 requirements for residential site accommodation, the WorkerBase 30 provides the functional living environment that construction workers deserve and that responsible employers, principal contractors, and subcontractors are increasingly required to provide as standard.
The 30-square-metre floor plan accommodates four workers in a configuration that provides individual sleeping privacy alongside shared living facilities: four bunk-bed sleeping stations with individual lockable under-bunk storage, privacy curtains, individual reading lights, and a shared power strip at each station, a fully equipped kitchen with a commercial-specification four-burner hob, 150-litre refrigerator, stainless steel work surfaces, and a dishwasher, a bathroom with two shower cubicles, two WCs in separate compartments, and a wash basin array designed for simultaneous morning shift preparation use by all four occupants, and a lounge-recreation area with fixed seating for six, a wall-mounted television pre-point, and a central table for eating and briefing use.
The structural specification is designed for intensive repeated relocation: a reinforced hot-dip galvanised chassis with heavy-duty forklift pockets on both long faces, crane lift points at all four roof corners rated to 4,000kg, and a 360-degree collision buffer on the chassis perimeter that protects the building envelope from fork mast and bucket contact during site re-positioning operations. External cladding is 3mm Alucobond composite panel in a site-specification colour providing impact resistance equivalent to 1.5mm steel sheet at one-third of the weight.
Storyopen delivers the WorkerBase 30 connected and commission-ready within 4 hours of arrival on site. A 24-hour support line covers site relocation guidance, utility connection troubleshooting, and welfare compliance queries throughout the deployment period.
